2018 Meeting

In 2018 the NCPS will meet jointly with the South Carolina Society for Philosophy. The meeting will be hosted by Winthrop University on March 23-24. The keynote speaker is Robert Audi, John A. O’Brien Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame.

Location of Conference Events and Parking

All sessions will be on the campus of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Further details are on this campus map (pdf), which also indicates parking locations: please use this parking pass (pdf).

Travel

Part of the Charlotte (NC) metropolitan area, Rock Hill sits approximately 26 miles south of Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT), 80 miles east of Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSO), and 80 miles north of Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE).

We have block reservations at three area hotels. Please use the links below to make your reservation. (They will say “South Carolina Society for Philosophy”.) We strongly encourage you to make reservations early. All of the hotels have offered us double queen rooms as they become available.

Registration

The registration fee (cash or check only) will be $5 for undergraduates, $20 for graduate students, $25 for part-time faculty, and $35 for full-time faculty. Please note that there is no advance registration.
